Methods of Calculus

Course Code: Math 1225A/B

Elementary techniques of integration; applications of Calculus such as area, volume, and differential equations; functions of several variables, Lagrange multipliers. This course is intended primarily for students in the Social Sciences, but may meet minimum requirements for some Science modules. It may not be used as a prerequisite for any Calculus course numbered 1300 or above.

High School Pre-requisite:

  • If you have completed Ontario Secondary School MCV4U (Grade 12 math), enrol in:
    • Math 1225A Methods of Calculus (Fall Course), or
    • Math 1225B Methods of Calculus (Winter Course)
  • If you have completed Ontario Secondary School MCR3U/MCF3M (Grade 11 math), enrol in:
    • Math 0110A Introductory Calculus (Fall Course), and
    • Math 1225B Methods of Calculus (Winter Course)
