Calculus II for the Mathematical and Physical Sciences

Course Code: Calculus 1501A/B

Students who intend to pursue a degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Astronomy, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics should take this course. Techniques of integration; The Mean Value Theorem and its consequences; series, Taylor series with applications; parametric and polar curves with applications; first order linear and separable differential equations with applications.

High School Pre-requisite:

  • If you have completed Ontario Secondary School MCV4U (Grade 12 math), enrol in:
    • Calculus 1000A Calculus I (Fall Course), or Calculus 1500A Calculus I for Mathematical Sciences (Fall Course), or Numerical and Mathematical Methods 1412A (Fall Course), and
    • Calculus 1501B Calculus II for the Mathematical and Physical Sciences (Winter Course)
