Calculus I

Course Code: Calculus 1000A/B

Review of limits and derivatives of exponential, logarithmic and rational functions. Trigonometric functions and their inverses. The derivatives of the trig functions and their inverses. L'Hospital's rules. The definite integral. Fundamental theorem of Calculus. Simple substitution. Applications including areas of regions and volumes of solids of revolution.

High School Pre-requisite:

  • If you have completed Ontario Secondary School MCV4U (Grade 12 math), enrol in:
    • Calculus 1000A (Fall Course), or
    • Calculus 1000B (Winter Course)
  • If you have completed Ontario Secondary School MCR3U/MCF3M (Grade 11 math), enrol in:
    • Math 0110A Introductory Calculus (Fall Course), and
    • Calculus 1000B (Winter Course)
